After each visit, a superbill will be texted to you via Klara within 24 hours. You can submit this to your insurance.
We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards (except American Express), Health Spending Accounts (HSAs) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs). Payment is due at the time of service.
YES! Office visits and procedure fees are paid directly to the practice, but you can choose to use your insurance for pathology fees, bloodwork and prescriptions.
Pathology and lab processing fees are dependent on the vendor (i.e. Quest, Lab Corp, Bridge Pathology, etc.). If you would like your specimen sent to a specific location, please let us know at the time of your visit.
Bergen Dermatology will send all prescriptions to Bergen Medical Pharmacy. This pharmacy can fulfill most prior authorizations on our behalf. If your prescription plan requires that our office perform a prior authorization, there will be an additional $30 charge. It takes significant time for the office to complete a prior authorization.
It’s possible to get the highest quality of dermatological care from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere else for that matter)! Dr. Boakye can address most medical skin concerns via telemedicine, and virtual cosmetic consultations can save you a trip to the office. The cost of the visit for a virtual new patient is $225.00 and a virtual follow up visit is $165.00.
Bergen Dermatology has transitioned to a direct-care model, which means we no longer accept insurance. This gives me more one-on-one time to spend with patients so we can establish an ongoing relationship. Even more, this allows me to take a holistic approach to skin health that integrates overall wellness. The cost of a new patient visit is $275.00 and a follow up visit is $225.00.
This fee is for the office visit only. Any treatments or procedures performed will be billed separately.
The consultation fee is $150.00. Consultation fee will be applied towards the procedure visit.
The procedure should be booked within one month of the consult.
Your health is our priority, and our goal is to provide quality care to all our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals and cancellations inconvenience not only our providers and our team, but our other patients as well. Please be aware of our policies regarding cancellations and missed appointments.
When you book an appointment, you are holding a space in our calendar that is no longer available for another patient. A $50.00 deposit will be taken to reserve your appointment.
We understand that schedules change and unexpected delays can occur. If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request 48 hours notice. If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at 201-567-7546 or text with the office via Klara. We will return your call/message as soon as possible. The call/text must be received 48 hours prior to your appointment time to receive a refund for your $50.00 deposit.
A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is canceled less than 48 hours before your visit. In this case, your $50.00 deposit will not be refunded.
If you miss an appointment without notifying the office, your $50.00 deposit will not be refunded.
Multiple missed appointments are grounds for dismissal from the practice.
