After each visit, a superbill will be sent to you via Klara within 48 hours. You can submit this to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Missed Appointments
Failure to attend scheduled appointments multiple times without appropriate notice may result in being dismissed from the practice.
To reserve your appointment, a $50.00 deposit will be required. This deposit secures your spot on our schedule, preventing it from being offered to another patient.
We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards (except American Express), as well as Health Spending Accounts (HSAs) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs). Payment is due at the time of service.
Yes! Office visits and procedure fees are paid directly to the practice. However, you can choose to use your insurance for pathology fees, bloodwork, and prescriptions.
Pathology and lab processing fees are dependent on the vendor (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, Bridge Pathology, etc.). If you would like your specimen sent to a specific location, please inform us at the time of your visit. Please note that you are responsible for payment of these fees directly to the vendor.
Bergen Dermatology will send all prescriptions to Bergen Medical Pharmacy, which can fulfill most prior authorizations on our behalf. However, if your prescription plan requires that our office perform a prior authorization, please note that there will be an additional $30 charge. This fee covers the time and resources needed to complete the prior authorization process.
It’s possible to receive top-quality dermatological care from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere else)! Dr. Boakye can address most medical skin concerns via telemedicine, and virtual cosmetic consultations are a convenient way to save time without a trip to the office. The cost for a virtual new patient visit is $225.00, and a virtual follow-up visit is $165.00.
Bergen Dermatology has transitioned to a direct-care model, which means we no longer accept insurance. This change allows me to spend more one-on-one time with patients, building a strong ongoing relationship. It also enables me to take a holistic approach to skin health, integrating overall wellness. The cost of a new patient visit is $275.00, and a follow-up visit is $225.00. Please note, this fee covers the office visit only. Any treatments or procedures performed will be billed separately.
The consultation fee is $150.00. This fee will be applied towards the procedure cost if booked within one month of your consultation.
Cancellation Policy
- Appointment Cancellation: If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you notify us at least 48 hours in advance. This can be done by calling us at 201-567-7546 or texting via Klara. As long as your cancellation is received at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled time, your $50.00 deposit will be refunded.
- Late Cancellation: If you cancel your appointment within less than 48 hours, the $50.00 deposit will be non-refundable.
- No-Shows: If you miss your appointment without informing the office, your deposit will be forfeited.
